Having built more than 1000 planing hull boats over the years, we decided it would be a good time to go back to our roots a little, by producing a planing hull model again.

Our original intention was to offer only a Single Outboard option of these boats, but following much outcry and requests from the Supercat Fans, we decided to NOW OFFER A TWIN OUTBOARD OPTION ALSO.

WHY IS THIS BOAT A GOOD OPTION?

In years gone by, owning a planing hull ‘skiboat’ to spend some time on the sea, fishing on weekends, was practical, as petrol was reasonably priced and many fisherman were able to sell their catch, which offset the cost of the days fishing, in terms of bait, petrol etc etc.
Owning a second boat for pleasure use on inland waters, was also practical, and possible.

We have come to realize that, in this day and age though, it is unfortunately not always practical, or even possible anymore, for people to own more than one boat.

For this reason, we have come up with the Supercat 590 Multi Sport, which is the ideal multi-purpose, Multi Sport, boat.
This beautiful boat is very capable for going to sea so one can still enjoy catching a few fish, while at the same time, this very same boat can be used for inland water sports, such as waterski’ing, tubing, pleasure cruising, taking the family out on the water for the day etc.

FEATURES OF THE BOAT

The forward seating area doubles as a really great platform to flyfish / pop and jig from.    This area also allows for great rear viewing when pulling someone for Tubing / Skiing etc.

It is also extremely practical, with its easy access to the water or shore by means of the open step area at the stern, which allows for fish landing and people to easily access the boat.

Another aspect of this boat, is that it can be really fast, when fitted with a 140Hp outboard, it can achieve upward of 40knots (75km/h) with 2 people aboard, which makes it a very exciting boat, when the mood is set for it.         This is achieved with very clever design elements within the hull, which we have dubbed TURBOFLOW, which not only pushes the unwanted splash away from the hull and its passengers, but also utilizes this force to achieve extra lift for the hull, improving performance.

Even when just idling around, the boat is extremely fuel efficient, so the fuel bill is not going to cost one a fortune. This is as a result of some more clever design elements within the hull, which allows the boat to operate almost like a displacement catamaran at slow speeds, but once one accelerates, the rear boarding step areas raise out of the water, bringing the boat back to a full blown planing hull.

Oh, did we mention – this boat is entirely WOOD FREE, so there is not a single item on this boat which can eventually get wood rot with age!!

There are access hatches in the seating area, large enough to store waterskis, spearguns, rods or most items needed on the water, and with this boats’ center console, it is a very stylish and practical boat.
