We have in the recent 2 or 3 years built a 34ft Coastal Cruiser based on previous concept drawings, powered by 2 x Yanmar 100Hp Inboard Motors (Outboards would be our choice though, for better utilisation of space, power to weight ratio and general ease of service.
Also, closer centerline installation of the outboards enhances long range single outboard cruising.
As with the new fishing versions, we have settled on the below outboard powered cruiser versions.
The benefits we see are:
LOA: 10,0m / ±34ft
BOA: 4,2m / ±13,8ft
DRAFT: 0,5m / ±1,6ft
DISPLACEMENT: 2,500kg / ±5,500lb
Maximum HP: 2 x 100Hp outboards (up to 27 knots)
Range: up to 1,000NM
Accomodation: 1 x Double + 2 x ¾ Berths
PAX: 6
The Caldera 34 featured in these photos is Carbon Epoxy on Foam, to reduce weight to offset the additional weight of the inboard diesels.
LOA: 12,2m / ±40ft
BOA: 5,1m / ±16,7ft
DRAFT: 0,62m / ±2,0ft
DISPLACEMENT: 4,000kg / ±8,800lb
HP: 2 x 140Hp outboards
Accomodation: 1 x Double + 1 x ¾ / Double + optional pantry area or ¾ berth.
Here we have added the sun lounge in the bow, with a central access to the flybridge.
This is a leisure all-rounder intended for coastal cruising
LOA: 15,25m / ±50ft
